When purchasing a registered Persian kitten, you can
expect to pay much more than one that is not registered. A pedigreed
Persian kitten is an investment, so it is important to do your
homework. Consider Persian kittens for sale from reputable
cat breeders who offer a health guarantee and state
approved health certificate. Learn more about this process in our article

Registering your Kitten
Registration Terms to Know
Pedigrees: Family trees
that start lineage going back from three to six generations of your
Persian kitten for sale.
Registries:
Organizations that give a written history of the Persian kitten
for sale in a pedigree form. A registration is a document representing
your Persian kitten's lineage. The three (3) main
cat breeder registries in the United States are CFA
(Cat Fanciers Association), ACFA (American Cat Fanciers
Association), and TICA (The International Cat Association). The
registration papers are given to the buyer from the Persian cat
breeder. The buyer then send the paper off to the registry and
in return receives the owner's registration paper on their new
Persian kitten.
Registered Kitten: A registered Persian
kitten has a documented pedigree in a recognized cat
breed from a cat registry.
A Purebred: This is a Persian
cat whose bloodline has not been diluted by other breeds or
randomly bred cats.
