Choosing a Vet
When choosing a vet for your Persian kitten there are many
important factors to consider. Here are a few:
- Communication: It's
crucial that you feel comfortable asking your vet questions about your
Persian kitten. A positive interaction with your vet is
the key to a good relationship which only benefits your Persian
kitten. Keep in mind that a good vet is one that shows his
expertise and compassion in a way that is appealing to you.
- Convenience: Location
is also an important factor to consider when choosing a vet. Consider
your schedule, means of transportation, and the option for walk-in
appointments. Keeping the drive to the vet quick and easy is not only a
benefit for you, but also your Persian kitten.
- Emergency Care Facilities:
Choose a vet that is staffed and prepared for whatever may happen to
your Persian kitten, even at odd hours. If the vet you
choose does not have sufficient emergency hours, talk to him about
another facility that could possibly be an option in an emergency
situation.
- Cats Only Practice:
There are some vets who are board certified feline specialist. There are
even vet clinics that treat only cats.
